phony Affiliate Marketing Programs
Are you new to phony affiliate marketing? There are many of them, and I just keep hearing about so many new ones. My own fact is that I came into the affiliate marketing scene a little over a year ago, and have seen more than my fair share of people being scammed by various programs, so naturally I’m skeptical when I see another product being sold via affiliate marketing.
But, is it possible there are some legitimate affiliate marketing programs out there?
The first thing I want to ask you if you’re interested in becoming an affiliate marketer is this — are you 100% committed to make the effort to learn all you can about affiliate marketing and become an expert in your niche? If you aren’t 100%, then drop the idea. Some people will never become an expert in a field, no matter how much they want to, and this includes affiliate marketing.
People who are driven to succeed quickly in an endeavor are generally the same people who enjoy the thrill of competition. They thrive in the competitive arena, and thrive best when they are one step ahead of the rest.
Another thing I look for is a program that seems honest enough to help me make money. There are plenty of programs out there that just want my money. I’ve been burned before, and I wasn’t looking for Casino money. When you’re looking to make money online, look for programs that are straightforward, have a low start-up cost, and a realistic business plan. These programs are breeds of the internet’s favorite virus, called “ScumWare.” It isn’t fun and won’t create a loyal customer base for you, so don’t jump into anything that is full of Scum ware. Remember, a good product plus a good Traditional mailer for you is still the key to a successful affiliate program.
In my attempt to explain how you should do phony affiliate marketing, I’m going to jump right into it, and might get a little excited. You see, I’m not…”ceptable” to emotion, so I’m going to use this article as a “course” in how to get started, or as a refresher on the basics. So, if you’re still with me, we can go forward.
how to do phony Affiliate Marketing Programs
1. Pick a niche. It doesn’t matter the niche — you just need to know what people want to buy. Let’s say you want to sell “coach knives” to someone who really wants to work from home. Think long and hard about what niche you’re going to be dealing with. It needs to be something that makes sense.
2. Find a product. I use places like “Commission Junction” to do my research. If I’m not convinced about the quality of the product, I won’t promote it. Sometimes the vendors supply you with the marketing materials these programs need like banner ads, emails to send to your list, and other things. Do a little research — you’re going to have to know what you’re promoting to look good in the eyes of your customers.
3. Promote. I use places like “Yes! Blogs” and “Squidoo” to promote my programs. I have friends who post articles to their article directories too, such as “Go Articles.” Article marketing on the internet is inexpensive to use, and it works.
4. Try to get a listing in the search engines for your niche. Search engines are still the best way to promote you, however. You can pay to submit your site to a bunch of search engines, such as “Google AdWords” and others. While paying for hits is expensive, the search engines love them, so they tend to rank higher than any other method.
5. Watch your bank account grow. Keep good records. Not only do you need to keep track of your hits and sales, but you need to note when someone is searching for YOUR product and what they are looking for. When you set up a link to an E-book about how to lose weight, you will want to get a lot of inquiries for that. You may need to set up several different accounts to test out what’s going to work best for you.
6. Use advertisements to bring more traffic to your site. There are a lot of different methods you can use, but just try different methods. You don’t want to buy advertising, so you just need to try a few. And besides, even buying advertising doesn’t guarantee that people will click on your link and buy the product.
